1. Field Size

Maximum 128 Teams. If greater than 128 team entries are received a Moose Draw will be held on June 6th, 2008 at the NBGA office to determine the eligible teams. The names of the successful teams will be published in the provincial newspapers and on the tournament Web site.

2. Eligibility

All Players must be in possession of an RCGA/USGA handicap card that has been properly attested. Teams with at least one player being a member of the New Brunswick Golf Association (NBGA) will be given entry preference. All teams allowed entrance in the event are eligible to be named champions.

3. Exemptions

In the event the number of entries exceeds the field size, the following teams will be entered in the competition:
The last five (5) winning teams (2003-2007);
The Top Ten (10) Gross teams from 2007;
The Top Net Team from 2007;
provided they meet the eligibility requirements of the tournament and they return a completed entry form and appropriate payment to the NBGA office prior to the entry deadline date.

NOTE: The term "Team" may include one member of a qualified team where his partner is not otherwise participating in the tournament and that member has selected another partner. Where both members of a team are playing in the tournament, but with different partners, neither team shall receive an exemption.

4. Automotive Transportation

The use of automotive transportation is allowed. Competitors must make their own arrangements with the host club. The use of a cart is not guaranteed.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HOST CLUBS HAS A LIMITED NUMBER OF POWER CARTS AVAILABLE. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO COMPETITORS WHO REQUIRE THE USE OF A POWER CART FOR MEDICAL REASONS. PLAYERS ARE NOT GUARANTEED THE USE OF A POWER CART. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THIS MATTER.

5. Format

36-hole Four Ball championship. The event is played in 18-hole stipulated rounds over two consecutive days. The event is both a Gross and Net Championship:
Gross Scores: Both partners play their own balls and record a gross score for each hole. The team then counts their best gross score on each hole to make up their 18-hole gross score.
Net Scores: Both partners record their own net score for each hole by subtracting their gross score from any applicable handicap strokes. The team counts their best net score on each hole to make up their 18-hole net score.

6. Prizes

The low gross team will be presented the Ralph Costello Shield and the low net team will be presented the Dr. Douglas Brewer Shield. Additional prizes to be determined.

The winning Gross & Net teams will be invited guests of the New Brunswick Golf Association at the Association's Annual Louisbourg Investments Golf Awards Dinner scheduled for the Memramcook Institute (Memramcook, NB) on Saturday, October 25th, 2008.

Cart Rental:  $33.00 (tax incl)

Trail Fee:  $10/weekend

Kitchen Facilities:  Breakfast - 6:30 AM     Dinner - Full Menu

Parking:  Yes

Putting Green:  Yes

Showers & Change Rooms:  Yes
