Title Detail
1. Format

Players will be ranked according to their performance in the current year. Each player will play 9-hole matches against other players in the field recording 1 point for every hole they win and 0.5 points for every half. The top four point earners will play-off in 9-hole semi-final matches with the two winners playing in an 18-hole match final. The third and fourth places will be determined through an 18-hole match play consolation final. The remainder of the field will play a stroke play competition to determine placings 5 to 24.

8 female competitors

3. Male Player Selection

This event is open to golfers who have not reached their nineteenth (19) birthday on or before midnight August 8, 2008. Players will be contacted in August to confirm spots.

Players will be selected as follows:
(a) 8 members of Juvenile & Junior Atlantic Teams
(b) Top 12 players from Junior Player of the Year Challenge
(c) Four selections based on year's performances
(d) Eight Junior Girls

Note: If there is any duplication between the top 12 players and the 8 members of Atlantic Teams, additional players will be selected from the Junior Player of the Year Challenge standings.

Handicap Cards: All players must be in possession of a valid NBGA handicap card with same attested and presented to Starter prior to play.

4. Female Player Selection

This event is open to golfers who have not reached their nineteenth (19) birthday on or before midnight August 9, 2008. Players will be contacted in early August to confirm spots.

Players will be selected as follows:
(a) 8 members of Juvenile & Junior Atlantic Teams
(b) Top 12 players from Junior Player of the Year Challenge
(c) Four selections based on year's performances
(d) Eight Junior Girls

Note: If there is any duplication between the top 12 players and the 8 members of Atlantic Teams, additional players will be selected from the Junior Player of the Year Challenge standings.

5. Automotive Transportation

The use of automotive transportation is not permitted.

6. NB/NS Junior Match Play

The top male finisher from the Jr. Match Play Championship, eligible for junior golf the proceeding season, will earn a spot on the New Brunswick team that will compete against Nova Scotia in the Spring of 2009 in the NB/NS Match Play Championship.
