1. Field Size

Maximum 80 teams.

2. Eligibility

This event is open to male golfers who have reached the age of fifty-five (55) on or before September 8, 2008.
All players must be in possession of a certified handicap card with same attested and presented to Starter prior to play. Entry preference will be given to teams with at least one member being an NBGA Club member.

3. Practice Round

Players can play their practice rounds on August 25, 2008.  Players need to book tee times with the proshop @ (506) 757-2250.

4. Automotive Transportation

The use of automotive transportation is allowed. Competitors must make their own arrangements with the host club. The use of a cart is not guaranteed.

5. Format

36-hole Four Ball championship. The event is played in 18-hole stipulated rounds over two consecutive days. The event is both a Gross and Net Championship:
Gross Scores: Both partners play their own balls and record a gross score for each hole. The team then counts their best gross score on each hole to make up their 18-hole gross score.
Net Scores: Both partners record their own net score for each hole by subtracting their gross score from any applicable handicap strokes. The team counts their best net score on each hole to make up their 18-hole net score.

7. Prizes

The Gross Winners will be presented with the IVAN PILKINGTON BOWL. Additional prizes to be determined.

The winning gross team will be invited guests of the New Brunswick Golf Association at the Association's Annual Louisbourg Investments Golf Awards Dinner scheduled for the Memramcook Institute on October 25th, 2008.
