1. Field Size

Maximum 80 Teams.

2. Eligibility

All Players must be in possession of a recognized handicap card that has been properly attested. Entry preference will be given to teams with at least one members of the New Brunswick Golf Association (NBGA). All golfers allowed entrance into the event are eligible to be named champion.

3. Tee Times/Draw Information

Tee times will begin at 8:30am with two two-person teams per group. Tee times will be at 9 minute intervals. All groups will begin play off number 1 tee, where possible. The first day tee-times, where possible, will be done by team handicap with the defending champions teeing off first. Positioning in the draw may also be affected by prior results in provincial events. The second day tee-times will be in reverse order of first round scores with the exception of the top net teams who will be grouped together, where possible, near the end of the field.

4. Automotive Transportation

The use of automotive transportation is allowed. The price is $ (tax included) and competitors must make their own arrangements with the host club (756-8129). The use of a cart is not guaranteed.

5. Format

36-hole Modified Pinehurst championship. The event is played in 18-hole stipulated rounds over two consecutive days. The event is both a Gross and Net Championship. Modified Pinehurst Scoring: Both partners drive from each tee and then each plays a second shot with their partners ball. After the second shots have been played, teams must make a choice as to which ball they will complete play of the hole. This will be done playing alternate shots. On par threes, the selection is made after the tee shots. Net Scoring: Team handicaps will be determined by taking 60% of the lower partner's handicap and 40% of the higher partner's handicap.

6. Prizes

The NBGA will provide prizes to the top gross and net teams and a percentage of both gross and net teams in the competition. The winning gross and net teams will be invited guests of the New Brunswick Golf Association at the Association's Annual Louisbourg Investments Golf Awards Dinner scheduled for the Memramcook Institute on October 25th, 2008.
