Title Detail
1. Selection of Teams

1. Using the final standings from the Canadian 2 for 1 Pizza Player of the Year Challenge points, ten players from the north & south regions will be selected to compete in a match play team championship. Team Captains, selected by the NBGA Executive, will be responsible for adding two additional players to their team.

2. HONOURARY CAPTAINS: The honourary captains will be selected yearly by the executive committee and will be a person or player who has made a significant contribution to golf. The captain will also be non-playing but would participate by selection of "captain's choices" and in creating the pairings during the competition.

3. NUMBER OF PLAYERS: Each team will consist of twelve players.

4. METHOD OF SELECTING PLAYERS:

a) The first ten positions on each team will be determined based on final player of the year standings. In the event that one of the top ten players was not able to play in the competition, his position will be offered to the next person on the final year players of the year standings and so on until the 10 players are selected ; and

b) The honourary captain will have the right to select the two remaining players. The captain has full discretion in his selections but the captain may want to consult with team members prior to the selection.

c) All players (juniors, seniors) are eligible for selection; the only criteria being player of the year standings.

5. GEOGRAPHICAL DIVISION OF CLUBS: The North/South geographical division is used. The dividing line will approximately run south of the Bouctouche Club, south of the Fredericton area clubs (excluding Oromocto, which would be in the south) through to the western boundary with St.Croix, Algonquin and Herring Cove being in the southern region.

This division provides a fair division of the top players in the province
