Title:  Local Rules for Tournament
Detail:  Play is governed by the RCGA Rules of Golf, NBGA Standard Local Rules, and where applicable, by the following supplementary local rules, conditions and definitions.

Unless otherwise stated penalty for breach of a supplementary local rule is TWO STROKES.

1. PLAY: Junior Men play from NBGA White Tees
Junior Ladies play from RED tees.

2. Doubt As To Procedure: If a rules official is not available and a doubt arises as to how to proceed, play a second ball under rule 3-3. If you score differently with each ball, you MUST report the action to the Committee before signing and returning your scorecard.

3. Pace of Play guidelines will be enforced. A group is out of position and may be subject to penalty when it is over the allotted time OR there is an open par 3 or 4 ahead, or the group ahead is on the green of a par 5.

4. Conduct Unbecoming of a competitor on or off the course and coming to the attention of the Committee is subject to penalty, including disqualification.

5. Exposed rocks and pipes on any closely mown area may be treated as an immovable obstruction.

6. Out of Bounds is defined by white stakes and/or white lines on holes 1, 2, 12, 13,14,16, 17 & 18 and the parking lot.

7. Preferred Lies: On holes 1, 6, 12 & 13 a ball lying in the closely mown area from the first white line to the green, may be lifted without penalty and cleaned. Before lifting the ball the player must mark its position. Having lifted the ball, he/she must place it within a 9-iron length of where it originally lay and not nearer the hole, that is not in a hazard and not on a putting green.
On hole #14, this procedure may be employed through the green.

8. Hole # 2 & 11 ? Drains through the green are to be treated as ground under repair and rule 25-1 applied.

9. Electronic Devices ? The use of cellular telephones or other electronic communications devices or headsets during a stipulated round is prohibited. Penalty for breach of this local rule is DISQUALIFICATION.

10. Spectators: Parents, coaches, family and friends must remain at least 50 yards from the competitor from the time of a competitor?s tee-off until the competitor?s score card is returned at the scoring tent. (Exception: Parents may provide food/nourishment to competitors after 9 holes provided this does not unduly delay play.)

11. Ties ? for the Championship will be decided using a three hole aggregate play-off using holes # 17, 18 & 1. If still tied, the Championship will be decided using sudden victory using holes 9, 17, 18 & 1 in that order and repeatedly until a winner is declared. All other ties will be decided by equalization.
