4. Divisions

The New Brunswick Golf Association (NBGA) will make use of Divisions for the NB Amateur and NB Mid-Amateur Championships in 2007. In each championship, players will be grouped by handicap into four divisions. A similar format is already being used for the NB Senior & Super Senior Championships.

5. Automotive Transportation

The use of automotive transportation is not permitted in this event.

In an effort to accommodate disabilities, the NBGA can allow, in exceptional circumstances, use of a power cart or other special equipment by a player who otherwise qualified for an amateur event and cannot, in the opinion of the Rules Committee for the competition, participate in such competition because of serious permanent physical impairment. Such use can be denied if the Rules Committee believes that the use of such a power cart, or other special equipment, would give a player an undue advantage over other players in the competition.
A current medical certificate along with a signed letter from the competitor?s medical doctor describing the disability and explaining the player?s needs, must be submitted at the time of entry filing.

6. Eligibility

All Players must be in possession of a recognized handicap card that has been properly attested. Entry preference will be given to members of the New Brunswick Golf Association. Golfers allowed entrance into the event are eligible to be named champion.
