1. Field Size

The field is limited to 132 entrants from the combined entrants in the Amateur, Senior & Super Senior Championships.

2. Eligibility

All Players must be in possession of an RCGA/USGA handicap card that has been properly attested.

Players may only compete in one of the three available categories. Players must designate on their entry form which category they wish to compete in.

Amateur: The Amateur Category is open to all competitors

Senior: All entrants should have reached the age of 50 on or before August 25, 2008. All entrants must be in possession of a 2008 RCGA membership card.

Super Senior: All entrants should have reached the age of 65 on or before August 25, 2008. All entrants must be in possession of a 2008 RCGA membership card.

3. Practice Round

July 10-16 - Players will be allowed to play their practice round anytime the week prior. Contact the pro shop at 858-8909 to book.

4. Automotive Transportation

Amateur Category - Use of automotive transportation is not permitted,
Senior Category - automotive transportation permitted.
Super Senior Category - automotive transportation permitted.

Carts will be provided at the cost of $ (plus tax)  Reservations must be made in advance by calling the pro shop.

NBGA CART POLICY
Except when specifically permitted by the NBGA Rules Committee, automotive transportation is prohibited. In an effort to accommodate, the NBGA can allow, in exceptional circumstances, use of a power cart or other special equipment by a player who otherwise qualified for an amateur event and cannot, in the opinion of the Rules Committee of the competition, participate in such a competition because of a serious permanent physical impairment. Such use can be denied if the Rules Committee believes that the use of such a power cart, or other special equipment, would give a player an undue advantage over other players in the competition.)
A current medical certificate along with a letter describing the disability and explaining the player's needs, must be submitted at the time of entry filing.

5. Format

Amateur Championship: A 54 hole medal play tournament. Is played over three days, 18 holes each day. The Provincial Championship is played in 4 divisions under the rules and regulations of the NBGA.

Senior Championship: A 54 hole medal play tournament. Is played over three days, 18 holes each day. The Provincial Championship is played in 4 divisions under the rules and regulations of the NBGA.

Super Senior Championship: A 54 hole medal play tournament. Is played over three days, 18 holes each day. The Provincial Championship is played in 4 divisions under the rules and regulations of the NBGA.

Divisions: Championship Division: Handicap 0 -14
Second Division Handicap 15 -19
Third Division Handicap 20 - 25
Fourth Division Handicap 26 +

Note: This could change depending upon the number of entries.

6. Prizes

Prizes: Gross and Net Prizes in each Division

Team Prizes - Top Four Players from each club in each

7. Other Information

The following information has/will be gathered from the host club for your information and posted here:

Golf Carts:  $30 (tax incl)

Pull Carts:  $5

Club Cleaning & Storage:  n/a

Kitchen Hours: open for breakfast at 6:30 am

Driving Range:  $3 for small, $5 for large

Putting/Chipping Green:  Yes

9. Team Trials

Team Trials will no longer be held as a separate event.  All players who have registered to play in the NB Royale Ladies Provinicals will automatically be eligible for the NB Teams.  The top four finishers in each age category will be selected as the NB Team that will go to the National Event
